Cookie policy

This page explains what cookies are, which ones this site may use, and how you can manage them.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember preferences and, when you allow analytics, understand how pages are used.

Types we use

Essential cookies remember your cookie preference so the banner does not reappear on every visit. The site continues to function if you reject non-essential cookies.

Analytics cookies (only if you accept) help us see aggregate visit patterns such as which pages are read most often. They are not used to sell advertising profiles.

Cookie table

Name Purpose Duration Provider
brookbase_cookie_consent Stores Accept or Reject choice for the cookie banner 1 year (localStorage) Brookbase Claims Review
_bb_analytics (optional) Aggregate page-view measurement when analytics are accepted 6 months Brookbase Claims Review

Managing cookies

You can Accept or Reject via the banner on first visit. To change later, clear site data for system-brookbase.click in your browser settings and reload the page. You can also block cookies entirely in your browser; essential site features such as reading pages and sending the contact form remain available.

Third-party cookies

Embedded fonts are loaded from Google Fonts; that request may involve network logs on Google’s side. We do not load third-party advertising cookies. Image providers may receive standard request logs when images load.

Impact of disabling

Rejecting analytics does not limit access to engagements information, journal articles, or the contact form. Clearing essential preference storage will simply show the banner again.
